On Saturday the 28th we will be going bouldering at Stoney Point. Stoney Point is one of the most iconic climbing areas in greater Los Angeles, if not the world. It is also an LA city park, so right in our backyard. The park is located at the northwest corner of the San Fernando Valley in the beautiful Santa Susana Mountains.
Stoney Point is full of history for the local climbers of Los Angeles; it can boast to be one of the very first bouldering areas anywhere. Its historic significance is pretty amazing – many of America’s luminary climbers cut their teeth here; Royal Robbins, Lynn Hill, Yvon Chouinard, Bob Kamps, Ron Kauk, John Long, and John Bachar to name but a few.
